7. What happens to the residues from the Blue Tower?
Landfiling is possible in virtually all cases. However, the ash residure can be disposed of lucratively. As a matter of fact when biomass is gasified the residues can be used as a fertilizer or for phosphate recovery. In single cases even ammonia recovery might be attractive preferably in the form of ammonium salts in a cost-effective way.
