Again this can only be answered on a case by case basis. This hugely depends on multiple factors which can considerably affect the price. These factors include: input material – what type of pre sorting, drying & other treatment must be executed, is the input material highly corrosive, toxic, etc. what are the climate conditions (temperature, wind, earthquakes, salt level of the air, soil conditions, etc.), environmental regulations (for example: noise, odor and carbon emissions), goals of the system i.e. does the operator additionally wish to produce hot or cold water, generate further energy from the process heat, etc. what type of storage facilities are needed, what type of building and foundation is required. These are just a few factors which determine the price. However, a simple 15 MW unit handling approximately 30,000 tons of sorted and dried waste can cost around 20 million euros.
